PS3 and Steam

When Portal 2 came out, PS3 owners who bought the game not only got the PS3 version, but the PC version as well.
I know it's a huge leap, but I'm just wondering what you guys think on the matter. PS3 Skyrim players to get it on the PS3 aswell?

Why? the basis of that for portal was to connect the PSN and PC portal 2 online communities, so they could play together, but with skyrim theres no point, theres no multiplayer, and if the consoles get mods then an online mod for skyrim will be able to link the 2 gaming communities without the help of Steam, PSN or XBL. Bethesda just has to be given a route to give mods to the consoles from the consoles respective owners.

Of course PS3 players will also get it on the PS3. ;)

But they won't be getting free PC copies, nor will PC players get PS3 copies. Like Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3 you'll get the version you buy- and only that version.

Automatic updates?

If your guessing on how the consoles could obtain these mods, no automatic updates would not be an option because mods change the gameplay, some more than others (hell some even create bugs, or might push the console hardware passed there limits, etc.) we would need an alley made to receive the mods by picking and choosing and also a way to delete them off the harddrive on the dashboard without entering the game (just incase a mod has a negative effect like freezing the the game before you can get rid of the content.) This can all be done but bethesda needs microsoft and sony to agree to it and help the dev get the mod alley started for skyrim.
