Traps confirmed yet?

Been playing The Witcher 2 and they've got a fairly enjoyable trap system and variety of traps and bombs and such. Wondering if something similar is planned for Skyrim, I know magical traps are confirmed but haven't read anything about more traditional traps.

No, Witcher 2's trap system is not going to be like Skyrim's trap system. Witcher 2 is a bad game. Skyrim is a good game. Completely opposite. But, yes, there are going to be traps.

Witcher 2 is a very good game, it's not for everyone but the environments easily match anything in previous TES games and likely they'll still be a bit above Skyrims, they're extremely detailed and hand crafted(along with the characters and weapons) with a more convincing realism. It's got it's flaws but it's trap system is very functional. Skyrim isn't out yet, though I'm assuming it'll be great and I'm certain I'll sink more hours into it as it's more my style than Witcher 2 in some ways and since it's a large sandbox. Doesn't mean Witcher 2 svcks, it's a different style and plays to different strengths - also from a smaller developer. For what it is and is meant to be it's great.

Witcher 2 is an RPG that makes pretty much every other one on the market look absolutely pathetic in terms of writing, dialogue, graphics, themes, characterization, quest design, and choices and consequences. Combat's a bit clunky but I can live with that. And Skyrim is not a good game right now because it's not out yet. It will be a good game once it's complete, at least I hope so.

shasow must have svcked at the combat. probably played it the same way you play assassins creed where you can just stand there and spam attacks against endless numbers of guards and not worry about dying........ever. :)

as for traps.......i love having the ability to set traps from the witchers games to two worlds 2. there were some mods for oblivion that let you set traps........midas magic had some and the best trap mod was made by willie see but im blanking on the name of it. one other thing i would like to see added is npcs laying traps and the ability to detect traps could be tied to security skill. thus making security once again a viable choice.
