why was there no wooden bows in oblivion, bow need to be made of strong flexible materials that snap back into chape .

also with bows its the arrow that does the damage not the bow itself so when enchanting i wold like the option to enchant with a fortify or other that affect the character not the enemy, leave the damage to the arrow enchanting.

finally it would be cool to have a mini game where you enter an archery competition, aim for the bullseye and even be able to do a "robin hood" (a robin hood is when you split the arrow with another arrow).

enchantment on the bow makes the arrow it shoots enchanted. It makes more sense, because it wouldn't be a really good idea to use a soulgem for every single arrow...

And bows in Oblivion are do made out of wood, they're just reinforced by whatever material they have.

So basically it's a complaint about an unrealistic game being unrealistic?

P.S. Most powerfull bows are not made from wood, surprise.

P.P.S. http://tes.ag.ru/oblivion/weapon/img/Iron_Bow.gif, made of wood, reinforced with iron.

longbow might disagree with you, it still has more punch than even many compound bows today have. its just a monster to pull back and aim with, i tried one once and i had to use every mucle in my body to get that thing back and im a pretty big guy. imagine doing that over and over every day.

I admit I rushed with the reply, without the actual comparison I can't claim that metal bow will perform better than a wooden one in a situation when all other characteristics are the same.

Arrow enchanting is great. While enchanting isn't poisoning, it uses magic, which can very well do quite literally anything (within your power), it would be nice to be able to enchant arrows to do significantly more damage than an enchanted bow would be able to do.
