Roleplaying Ideas?

oh ye can tell me a few cant ye? You know you wanna!

Alright, a few, but no stealing LOL .

First up is Fortunado, Daedric Archaeologist and purveyor of rare artifacts. Hes a big, clumsy, but modest Altmer. Hes a jack of no trades who gets by through luck and intelligence alone. Always at the wrong place at the right time, he stumbles and bumbles his way through the world of Nirn. His "strengths" come from his Daedric and other rare Artifacts that he's acquired through out his journey's, in which he stumbles through as well. Hes basically Inspector Gadget meets Chevy Chase.

Next is Shadow-Comes-Inside, the purple Argonian Witchdoctor Shaman. Former Dunmer slave, at least he was in Morrowind and Oblivion. His combat revolves around casting "curse" spells on targets, then accompanying that up with a correlating poison on a rudimentary dagger. He used spears in Morrowind, a Grummite Dagger in Oblivion, but his weapon in Skyrim will depend on the weapon sets. He will also use the occasional magic staff.

The last one I'll post is: The Defender of Colovia, Grand Knight of the Hour, Prefect of Skingrad, Champion of Hunts, His well Highborn, The Baron Ilero. A 300 hundred, now 500 year old Imperial Vampire playboy who would rather be at the race track or Opera, than in a damp cave, or some realm of Oblivion. A master Illusionist who uses his magic to influence others at his parties and galas into uncharacteristic fits of ecstasy and depravity. Ilero rarely ever has to fight, usually outwitting his opponents. his favorite pastime is feeding on the hand maidens of the daughters of Nobility.

A Breton, lost of soul and mind, finds out he is the Dragonborn. With this new found power, he goes to make the land into a peaceful realm but fails horridly. He's terrible at fighting dragons, for one. After an adventure to some sort of spiritual shrine though, he will find strength and courage and vanquish Alduin once and for all.

Sort of boring story, but I have so little to go off of atm. Maybe I'll do a Geralt of Rivia playthrough as well.

I'm not sure what my first character will be like, but my 2nd character will most likely be the descendant of my Wood Elf female, Lieth.

here's mine

First name: Cyrus

Last name: Dralas (family name of the adoptive father)

race: Nord (a more tanned skin than the average nord due to dilluted redguard heritage)

personality:

A calm and intelligent mind contrast with his big stature and imposing demeanor. he learned from his adoptive dunmer father everything from combat to blacksmithing, although his father wanted to teach him more in the ways of fencing he found that Cyrus was attuned to use 2 handed blades and so he often sent him on specific hunts in order for his son to improve himself.

Parentage:

Cyrus's adoptive father was in his youth a wandering fencer and scholar, he often visited cities in order to visit their libraries and challenge passing warriors. approaching his 100 years of life he was sent to morrowind in chains as a slave and worked his way up until he was allowed by the argonians limited freedom to keep researching for them.

Brief Biography:

found as a baby on the shores of Morrowind in the arms of a dead nord captain. A dunmer passing by noticed this morbid scene and came near to take a better look, as he investigates the captain's body he finds an ancient medallion that seems to have been crafted in skyrim, in the back he finds an inscription with the name Cyrus. "Curious" -the dunmer thought to himself- though the medallion is from skyrim the inscription is written in the old redguard's language, he then takes a look at the infant and sees that he is on the brink of death. Unphased by its cries the dunmer turns back and starts to walk away... as he distances himself from the shores he is struck by a powerful force in the back, making him lose his footing and look back, he looks to the baby surprised to see a torn trail of ground rock with the unconscious infant at the end, "I can use him to leave this wretched place" - the dunmer though to himself - and brought the infant with him to the small town of Gnaar Mok.

Years have passed, and young Cyrus grew amongst the dunmer slaves and argonians learning everything he could from his adoptive father who often sent him on hunts and odd mercenary jobs and while Cyrus was a formidable fighter, he never saw him recreate that shockwave from all those years ago. the rest of the village shunned Cyrus due to his heritage and often warned the father to abandon or even kill him in fear of a possible betrayal, the father knew that in time the villagers would lose their patience and drive Cyrus, if not them both, out from the village in slavery or worse...
one night, the father called the young nord to their home saying he had something important to show him, he showed Cyrus all the books and scrolls he had collected over the years, all of them describing Nord and redguard history as well as culture, he told Cyrus that the time to leave the village was coming near and that they would have to prepare for the inevitable outcome.

after a few weeks, it was time to leave morrowind and head towards skyrim, in search of knowledge and a better life away from the slavery of the argonians.
weeks, maybe months later at sea, the father and his son reached the shores of skyrim disguised as a nord slaver and his dunmer slave. the ploy worked well enough for them and they managed to travel the roads fairly safely, until cyrus was ambushed by dunmer rebels who took his father and slashed Cyrus's face cutting out his right eye, the attack left Cyrus unconscious and the rebels disappeared as fast as they came leaving him with nothing but rags on his back. Cyrus then wakes up in a prison, apparently the guards recognized him when he came into shore and after a bit of investigation they learned that Cyrus was not a slaver but rather a mer sympathizer and was awaiting execution for it, this accusation left Cyrus laughing at the irony of it all.
what happens next is yet to be told...

My plan is to RP a former Legion forester who is now on the run for killing the son of the count of Bruma. Before the game start he was caught which explains why he starts in a prison.

well, my main character I will have to see what all is in the game before I make any solid choices. All I am certain of is that he will be a Nord outdoors man/hunter who, if it is included, will be a werewolf. morality wise I might try to put him in the grey area. In morrowind I had an evil Dunmer as a main & in oblivion I had a good imperial as a main. So again, I will probably try to make a morally grey nord.

my 2nd character is an argonian thief like they have been since morrowind. for the argonian I always had a roleplay detail where the one in the surrent game is a decedent of the one before. (basically, skyrim argo thief is descended from oblivion argo thief & oblivion thief from the morrowind argo thief.). They were all lower class citizens before finding their place in the thieves guild & rising through the ranks to eventually become the guild's leader.

An young noblewoman from an impoverished mountain keep is to be presented to the king on her 18th birthday, but on the way there she unknowingly insults and threatens a far more powerful noble. She is jailed, and with no way to prove her lineage, she is charged with conspiracy against a noble and sentenced to death. . .

Edit: Name will be either Eirunn or Eidunn, the Bright.

That sounds awesome, looks like I'll use this story for my female Mage.

My first character is going to be a 30-40 year old ex-adventurer nord blacksmith who unwittingly makes weapons and armor for a band of raiders. The raiders are caught, my nord's work
Is identified and I am sent off to be executed for treason.
I'm caught at the border either for trying to flee skyrim or for returning as a fugitive a few years later (I don't know how bethesda is gonna pull that one off)

I might make a dark elf assassin too.

Either a nord by the name of Ysgrim who has come to Skyrim in order to seek a new life away from his massive debt, or a dunmer by the name of Sarel Saronyi. This dunmer would also be the Nerevarine, and would have come in order to speak with the dunmer survivors there and determine what exactly happened in Morrowind. (This Nerevarine would have been in Apocrypha for around 200 years, having only returned to Tamriel upon hearing about some disaster in Morrowind from one of Apocrypha's denizens)

I have a few Ive thought up.
None of them have names because I svck at making names up.

1. Young Argonian Huntsman. Introverted, enjoys reading and being out in the woods.
2. Bosmer Serial Killer. Yet to pick why he kills people. Ill think of one later on.
3. Imperial Male Spy. Think Sam Fisher in the TES universe.

For my main character, I don't really know yet, but I will for sure make my Daggerfall character reappear (he was a dunmer, so he'll be old but still alive I guess), as some sort of master. I'll just pretend one of the NPC will be him.
I've already put my Arena hero into jauffre's body, and I must admit it felt pretty good as it brings a whole new dimension to the character, and really helped me bound with him,
Spoiler
and feel awfully sad when he died (no load/reload when something doesn't please me on first gameplay, on the other ones I made my best to keep him alive) =]

That's about all I plan for the moment, making my characters path cross each others =]

My main character will be a stealthy Dunmer thief/mercenary who will rob anyone that gives him the opportunity, and will do any job as long as he's paid for it, and as long as it doesn't Inconvenient him in any way (messing up a town/cities economy that he happens to live in/does most of his business in).

As for his motivation for killing dragons.. Simple. He kills dragons, he gets more powerful, he gets more powerful, the more [censored] he'll be able to get away with. That, and if the dragons destroy everything how is he gonna make money?

And he's definitely joining the Dark Brotherhood not because of Sithis or anything like that he actually worships the nine divines.(Not that he'd ever tell them that) its simply because they pay the best.

Thats pretty much it. Though I can't decide if he should go vampire or stay mortal.

Maybe you can use the cannibalism thing the Bosmer do for inspiration.

I have 3 basic ideas.

1. The coward mage, afraid of fighting and always tries to take the diplomatic solution. He was caught at the wrong place at the wrong time and was wrongfully imprisoned. Most likely Breton.
2. The conniving, scheming rogue who is only in it for the money. Drinks a lot and is just all around a total bastard. Imprisoned for theft and kidnapping. :)
3. The noble warrior, kindhearted who aids all. Imprisoned for going against his commander in the army when ordered to kill an innocent. Will be my dragonborn. <3
