St/Ag = Loud impact sound + Fast swing animation

Post » Tue Jan 25, 2011 8:26 pm

Ok so imo your strength/agility level should control the sound of the impact of the weapon and the speed of your strikes with any melee weapon.

To break it down if your level 1 then you should swing your sword slower and the impact noise should be less graphic. On the other hand a high level character would make quicker strikes and loud bone cracking strikes.

Also does anyone have specific ways that some of the attributes should affect your characters development, be it pros or cons?...

Son, perhaps it's better if you just sit down... I have something to tell you.
Mr Attribute... He died. The Todd killed him in his endless quest for the Streamline.

Since Bethesda's made such a fuss about the fact that they're removing attributes, I suspect the first step in having them affect anything would be implementing them. Could just be me though.

No attributes, but they could do something like this for skills or perks.

It's more accurate to say they reduced them than removed them.

Health, stamina, and magic will affect things from the sounds of it.

this would be a cool feature if attributes were being included, they could still include it however if stamina affects how hard your character hits

I suppose this would affect FPS and stability. Besides as your level or skill upgrades won't happen every few seconds, it would be an unnoticed feature.

Well since attributes was axed thats will be interesting challenge to model such feature,
perhaps adding skill based checks will work for this so need be skilled with one hand dagger and be skilled in sneak can reduce sound.

About speed of strikes yes strength suits there well, how we can model such feature perhaps it can be based on rates fatigue of usage?
For example fatigue usage depend on weight of weapon and alter it speed accordingly with swinging heavy weapon fatigue exhaust in fast rate so there will be less swings with heavy at low fatigue, but if we have good skills and large maximum of fatigue versus weight of weapon, there will be visible difference in light weight weapons and heavy ones but also heavy weapons in skilled and strong hands can swing heavy weapon in faster way,
so additionally to weapon speed there also will be bonus or penalty from fatigue and skills.

What :lmao: thats sounds more likely Progress Quest for me.
