Camp Forlorn Hope Rangers

Post » Sun Jun 06, 2010 5:35 pm

Okay, so I wanted to get my hands on a sniper rifle within the earlier parts of the game, and I remembered 3 Rangers with armor and 150 rounds of .308 ammo, and I walked over there to try to snuff one while nobody was looking. Unfortunately, when I got there, it was only NCR troopers with Caravan shotguns, rangers not to be found anywhere. Afterwards, I remembered that I finished 3 card bounty and at the end the Major assigned 1st recon to Forlorn Hope. So I finished 3 card bounty, and returned to Forlorn hope. Betsy and the others were there, but no rangers. How can I get my rangers back?

you have to progress far enough into the game for ranger vets/heavy inf NCR to show up. im guessing your with the NCR, so they should begin showing up around the time between for the republic 1-2. vault 34 contains alot of sniper rifles in the armory though, id recommend that over off'ing one of your fellow rangers :P

Well, what I do, is I stay Neutral until the factions until around level 20-35. Once I get to the end, I just have to finish my campaign. It just doesn't feel right if I ditch the final battle for a few weeks to "tie up loose ends."

I believe there is a sniper rifle laying on one of the top bunks in the 1st Recon tent at McCarren. It is free for the taking.
