Did the BoS go brain dead?

Post » Mon Jun 28, 2010 6:23 pm

So while doing one of the THAW quests, I destroyed the BoS Bunker, and since I like to do the 'get in get out' method, I used a stealthboy and slipped out. However, something REALLY bothers me, why in the hell is the self destruct going off, and yet the Brotherhood members are just casually walking about the bunker as if this was an ordinary thing. I'm pretty sure if you heard this, you'd likely be running to the exits. So why would they be acting like its nothing? :unsure2:

I noticed the same thing. Everyone just standing around as normal.

Oh right, they were in lockdown, they're not allowed to leave the bunker :P

I thought the exact same thing, the first time I destroyed it (I've done it a few times for the different questlines). The way I see it there are two possible reasons: A, Obsidian "forgot" to implement it. B, if they had gone out you would have BoS scribes, knights, and paladins all over the place.

I'd say screw the lockdown and dash for the exit. Death < Freedom

haha....

"So....tacos?"

Yeah it would be a bit odd, still if you managed to escape detection they should run out, it would be funny to see them, maybe they make a steady pilgrimage around the wasteland looking for places to settle, slowly getting whittled down or leaving and integrating into normal life like the Enclave.
It just feels weird that they just...let themselves die, so happily.

I agrre with that Hugga, I like how the Enclave was potrayed as more than an evil entity, and having actual people in it. I wish They did this with the BoS, something like "The few who managed to escape the destruction of Hidden Valley, lived much like their old nemesis The Enclave, hunted and living forever on the fringes."

Everytime I started the self-destruct sequence they immediately went hostile towards me - even while I was wearing a stealthboy and had no companion with me in the bunker.. they didn't "just stand around."

what the fudge?
