I really need someones help. While doing the BOS power armor quest I helped Hardin, but followed the quest guidelines and finished it by handing in the stuff to the current leader. The current leader thanked me and gave me the key to the bunker. Now, after 10 days of waiting and doing other quests, neither will talk to me and Hardin is still not the leader. They both say they are waiting for a trial. This seems to be a known issue as it is referenced in this article:

I think if everything had gone correctly to help Hardin I never would have gotten a key from the current leader. After the trial Hardin is supposed to give you a key and a quest I think? Is there a way to fix this on xbox without having to go all the way back to previous saved games? It would be a massive waste of time to have to go back to that saved game as I finished the entire boomers quest line and others while waiting for the trial to commence. If you have any ideas on fixes please respond. Thanks.

Had to just say screw it and eat 7hrs of game play. Luckily I hadn't overwritten the saved game just before the final turn in. Didn't speak to Harbin first, just handed it in to Lorenzo then McNamara and the quest progressed as it should. Got the key and the next quest. Game is certainly bugged though. If you want to ensure you don't get bugged just forget about Harbin and deal only with McNamara.

I'm going to lose about 15 hours. With the save point I'm working from I'll have to explore both vaults again, svcks... I hope this works.

This sequence works.

I got the parts from the vaults again and saved out side the bunker.

1. Do NOT talk to Hardin or McNamara first.
2. Go straight to Lorenzo with the parts.
3. Talk to McNamara.
4. Walk outside, wait 2 to 3 days.
5. Talk to McNamara.

This worked, thankfully.
