It seems many people want a "hardcoe mode". I personally don't think it does anything for hardcoe players (my definition of "hardcoe" is different then most's, as I see it as more of a Faction). I have also noticed that modders have already made mods that do the exact same sort of thing in both Morrowind and Oblivion. chances are pretty much 100% that they will do same to Skyrim. It will just take time, but it will happen.

There is a limit to how much can be put on a disc. Even if its just kilobytes, a "hardcoe mode" will take up space. Space that could be used to put in a new gameplay mechanic that only Bethesda could do (yes those exist, even the construction set has its limits).

So ask yourself...what do you want.



PS: I put the chance that Bethesda is way ahead of me at 75%.

I've only played hardcoe mode once, on my most recent playthrough. I just found it annoying having to drink so much water all the time. I'd wait a day and it'd pop up with "Severe dehydration, blah blah" So I'd drink me some water. Walk along for another few minutes "Dehydration..." *drink some more water*

It was just more annoying than anything else. It didn't make it more challenging, it just got on my nerves and used up all my water. :/
