well i gave the chip to mr house before i went to the bunker and now i cant open the bunker.... and i cant finish the quest for mr. house because the chip is no longer in my possession... wth. mr house keeps saying theres something very interesting waiting for you at fortification hill...... but i cant go in it lol how do i fix this...

Had this issue before too, looks like giving the chip to House before activating the army at fortification hill breaks the questline. He never returns it to you then he sends to to activate the army.

There's a console command you can use, found halfway down the bug list: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/The_House_Always_Wins#Bugs

That's for PC of course. If you do use the console, you'll need to save immediately and then restart the game in order to continue or you won't gain the achievement.

You don't. You have to load another save or restart yout game. Hard luck.

That's weird. House is supposed to give you the chip back when he sends you to the bunker. Try an earlier save.

Got this issue as well since I already killed Caesar. If you're on PC, you can add the Chip back to your inventory with this console command:

player.additem 1164fb 1

That fixed it well and with no broken quests later on. :foodndrink:

And ... as mentioned earlier ... don't forget to save your game and then exit/restart so that you get credit for the achievement.

no.....then you'd be going for an independent New Vegas with no military backing....

Well, you can, however what will happen as a result at the dam might not be to your liking.

Let's just say that things will not exactly go according to plan...
