How do I side with the NCR?

Post » Fri Jul 09, 2010 6:55 am

Well, my dilemma is that so far I've chosen to work with Mr. House, and I've come to realise that I don't really want to become enemies with the NCR.

-- Spoilers follow --

After having just completed getting the Boomers to side with me, a new Quest has popped up titled "Don't tread on the bear" and says if I continue to work with Mr. House, the NCR will no longer accept my help.

My question is, is there anyway to switch sides to the NCR, or overthrow Mr. House and use his power to help the NCR. I mean, I know I can side with Caesar but as far as I know, I haven't previously had an option to singularly work for the NCR. And for all his talk of change, he's just a robot and I don't want to go to war with the NCR.

Any help is appreciated :)

An NCR guy should have approached you in the Strip by now with an invitation to go talk to the NCR honcho who hangs out in the NCR Strip offices. Crocker, I think he's called. So you can try going there and seeing if he'll still talk to you/do his missions and progress from there. That's what starts the NCR main path line. The NCR buildings in the Strip are across from the Vault hotel.

Just don't do any other quest for House path.

I think the NCR will not turn hostile to you if you follow House as all but one of their quests are conflicting.

However switching sides would require you to kill House, the best way would be to see the Abassador at the Vegas NCR embassy.
If he's still there you'll get a new quest chain,.

If you fail "Don't tread on the bear" by helping Yes Man or Mr. House, the NCR won't be hostile except you can't do their endgame quests. If you help the Legion, then the NCR will be hostile
