So yeah has there been any information regarding the ESRB rating for Skyrim?
If they're planning on this being an M rated game it better be a helluva lot better than Oblivion was concerning everything that quantifies an M rated game.
Bulletstorm is M rated and it hardly goes 10 seconds without a character cussing or making a lewd remark and if an enemy doesn't explode in a shower of blood that doesn't seem like more than the body should have in the first place, then something is wrong.
L.A. Noire Depicts very gruesome murders where the victim was found beaten to death and left naked in a park. and you run across psychopaths/pedophiles (who detail their "eccentricities" in disgusting detail) can you guess what it was rated? yep it's rated M.
Oblivion has a very minimal amount of blood and an option to turn it off no less, very little amount of reprehensible language... I don't even remember an obscenity being uttered that was worse than the word "Damn"... can you guess what it was rated? Nope it wasn't rated E or T... it was rated M.
My point is that if Skyrim gets stuck with an M rating I hope they take advantage of it and don't turn it into a "Rated M for Everyone" game like Oblivion.
Well they rate it M for a reason, they dont take into account immature advlts, they look out for the kids. The whole point of the ESRB doing what it does is to keep advlt content which is: (technically NOT advlt content, but is deemed "advlt Content" because of kids)
MATURE
Titles rated M (Mature) have content that may be suitable for persons ages 17 and older. Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sixual content and/or strong language.
What was oblivion rated for?:

This mostly but more precise:
What Bethesda had originally disclosed to us, as an example: In that section of the game, there is a hanging corpse. What they disclosed to us was a hanging corpse in the dark, pretty far away and without much detail. And yet, when you bring a torch up to the hanging corpse in the actual game, you can see that it's very mutilated with lots of blood and bones. That was a very different depiction, far more intense, far more extreme than what had been disclosed to us
Also it was rated M for:
Blood and gore
Language
sixual themes
Use of Alcohol
violence
So, i think Skyrim will act accordingly to this past hiccup, not limit what they can do, but lear from what they did in the past, and just go all out on this one. i can expect more grusome DB quests too! >:]
