So, I don't play as a Legion person, ever, but I like equal game chances. But one thing on the Wiki is that it says that the only constant source of Cave Fungus, which is useful as an item and as a hydra ingredient, so unless you dont care, or you're an anti-legion guy, you wont be able to get continuous Cave Fungus.

Am I the only person who's confused by this?

Maybe you can sneak-steal it from their pockets?

You'd think you'd be able to find it in some caves...

I miss the cave fungus in NV. Wish it was there. Don't see why it isn't in some caves.

I found a container which has it refilled with fungus every three days, but it may just be my game.

Who precisely felt that what is... quite obviously, I might add... a conversation about fungus somehow warranted being moved out of the discussion board... where I was observing it quietly until now... and into the cheats board... which makes absolutely no logical sense whatsoever.

There is certainly NO bias towards Legion, however... it's just that there's these guys... and they like... have all the fungus, yo!

Personally, when I get around to firing up the GECK again, I'm going to first pester beg people for more clothes to fit my character's pregnant body mesh... and then I'm going to get serious about making a mod enhancing the whole food fiasco in this game.

Cave Fungus shall therefore grow in caves... and be useful in the making of Cave Fungus Eclairs... although you might regret making them.

Heh, it so happens that I am on the verge of adding Cave Fungus to food vendor lists and some loot lists, since my next character will heal wounds and limbs solely with edibles and there's no way he can make sufficient Hydra when there's only a couple of Cave Fungus in the entire game-world. Sure, he could go buy them from the Khans after teaching Jack to make the stuff, but that's counter to the character's Survivalist RP.

Hmmm, maybe I should check the caves' mushroom decor to see if they can be used as activators...

The Wiki lies.

Though the Legion may carry Cave Fungus, they rarely do. Cave Fungus is virtually non-existent in the game as far as I can tell.
You can't buy it, loot it, or harvest it any where that I've found.

It was pretty weird that all those fungus in Mojave caves aint cave fungus.....

I suspect a lot of the crafting items were put in late in the development. You also almost never find duct tape or scrap electronics, except they are both commonly sold and found as random loot in tool boxes. That makes me think some items weren't added until late in the game because very few of them were hand placed, and adding them to loot or sales tables is easy.

Thing is, there are cave fungus in FO3 for PC to harvest; it is just weird they didn't put *any* in NV.
