Why Steam

Post » Sun Jul 18, 2010 6:31 am

Tell me why they had to go and use Steam for an engine... There is no problems with Fall Out 3... Oh ya it doesn't use Steam as an engine it relies on my system. Fall Out New Vegas would be great if it was its own program... What a waste. Maybe eventually it will run smoothly but it may be awhile... In the mean time Fall Out 3 kicks its ass big time story and all!

Uh....steamworks is not an engine. FONV is on the gamebryo engine, steamworks is merely a drm and content delivery system. Besides, do you REALLY want to deal with GfWL again?

Only a couple of early bugs were being caused by Steam...mostly because when Steamcloud was active it was putting some files in different places and messing with savegames. In fact, I wouldn't mind Steam too much if it didn't cause birth defects and the gum disease gingivitis.
