Being a vintner as part of the old skingrad-type community would be rather enjoyable, don't you think? Everyone shall know my name on their bottles of wine! :celebration:

Farming..... ehhhhh sounds tedious to me. If i really wanted some corn, i'll just kill people till i find someone with some on him! I guess it is good for the alchemists out there to create a fatigue potion out of some corn and watermelon.

Well I myself won't be a farmer at ALL.
But i like to see that Skyrim is adding variety for ALL styles of gamepay
It's very exciting and good.

Kudo's to you Bethesda.

It will be just harvesting I think. The NPC will say "I'll give you a Septim if you go pluck 20 corn ears". Then you go do it (maybe there will be an animation this time at least). I'm fine with that system honestly.

there will be no planting/growing---count on it.

Will we still be using Septims as currency?

I'm definitely going to make an everyman style character that does all the sorts of jobs that NPCS do, in addition to using all the crafting skills (well, maybe not enchantment), in addition to using mercantile, speechcraft, and marksman (to hunt). That way I can go out, get hides and ingredients, do some crafting, and work on farms or at the lumber mill, and hopefully make a pretty septim by the end of the day.

Anything the NPC's can do, apparently you can do according to Todd Howard. I would imagine the NPC's can farm, so you probably can also.

Yes well, we'll see how long this concept lasts before it gets scrapped.

Farming does make for some interesting environmental interaction though. The ability to plant seeds and grow plants is an interesting idea.
