going against ncr?

This is something i rarely do in my playthroughs, as by doing this, you knock away many quests from the game and are left with the minimal amounts of legion and other sidequests. But by doing this you lose a major target, since ncr has the largest span over the mojave if you play with them theres really not many people to hold your gun against unless you want to destroy settlements its no fun just attacking nelson and cottonwood cove.. Does anyone else find this or have I been narrow minded? :sadvaultboy:

Well, you can do the House and Independent playthroughs and do most of the quests in the game. Or do you mean go against them outright, like a shoot on sight sort of deal?

A Legion Focused player will have less quests to do, unless you want to help the NCR, then betray them.

A number of Legion quests have overlap with NCR quests, so you really don't lose too much.

However, it is one of the many ways to play through the game. Not all playthroughs will let you do everything, and not all playthroughs need everything to be fun.

The point of playing the game is yours to decide. If doing everything is the point for you, then it is. I would suggest you go out on a limb and try a Legion playthrough, but that's your decision.

I am looking forward to doing a Legion character myself. Might even have a reason to use the Tribal Pack I got from Amazon which I have never loaded on my game. It will be interesting to see how the limited interactions go with the NCR.

I haven't either, I've only done Independent and NCR. I'm saving Legion for when I'm bored because it seems to have the most varied playstyle than all of them.

The stupid evil route ( golly I hate that term ).
Is actually very fun, it lets you see the true extent of NCR in the Mojave as almost every trader and town has some link to the NCR.
The only reason to not try it out from Primm is XP rewards, which if you're rp'ing should not matter one iota.
This route of instantly taking Primms troopers all the way up to NV, will make you think and see other ways of doing quests that you normally would not.

Trade becomes difficult, areas become insane early on if you attack NCR on sight, and ranger scouts will ambush you.
There are only two reward based things in a CL hostile to NCR run, the real reward is just knowing the kills you make bring weakness to your enemies friends.

It really is not for a casual run, but you see a great side to the game that the game itself tries to bury by making it idiotic to do.

Full scale war against NCR are for those who ask for more fighting.....but I guess they are too scaled to try.

There are quite a few benefit for this: you can wear any faction armour you want, you don't really have to care if reputation bugged out, and you would be drown in NCR notes.
