Oblivion in Skyrim

The consensus is Dagon's Deadlands were boring and irritating, I have to agree. What's interesting, is people are forgetting one of the key things of Oblivion (the game) though, in that technically, as a belief, Mundus(Nirn) is just another Realm. So technically, every game would have been "Oblivion".

Obviously, if any plane of Oblivion belonging to a particular Prince would be appropriate in Skyrim, it'd be Hircine's. After all, the Bloodmoon will rise again, and his hounds will walk the land.

why the hell would there be a daedric dragon? the dragons arent related to daedra in any way as far as i know, peryite hardly counts, since daedra can take on any form they want, if peryite was a true dragon, i doubt he'd be so pathetic looking and so busy cleaning his room, or whatever.

third... i dont think skyrim should have anything to do with oblivion, especially since the seal is PERMANENT thanks to akatosh, the dragon god of time.

it would be impossible for daedra to invade, so no daedric dragons, even if they did exist.

i dont mind if the occasional daedra is seen, because they've been in TES since the beginning, i think... it'd be like taking out undead enemies... but we dont need to go traversing through the realms of oblivion in skyrim... maybe in a future game we could see more realms, but for now, we need a break from it.

This. So much this. This so much it is insane. But yeah. Dragons arn't daedra and daedra arn't dragons. Just... No.

I just thought about creatures in Skyrim and thought Deadra dragons. It sounds dumb but deadra are cool and if there was think about it's Dragon Shout. Also enhanced graphics would be cool in the Oblivion planes.

Oblivion planes were a little boring and they all were the same

Op, you might want to reword your post so that it makes clear you are talking about having some of the numerous REALMS of Oblivion in Skyrim, not just about revisiting Mehrunes Deadlands. I love the Dremora (as long as they are under my magical control, or at least not misbehaving too badly), HOWEVER, I don't need to languish in The Deadlands.

That said, I would LOVE to visit many of the realms of the other Daedric Princes, Sanguine's, Azura's and Meridia's in especial.

A lot of people here think you are just talking about the Deadlands, and I think that misconception is skewing your poll results.

I loved the Oblivion Gates in Oblivion but I don't think they'll have the same feel in Skyrim, Maybe just one and it's unique but that's it. I'd rather have a reference to The Adoring Fan being thrown off of Dive Rock as an Easter Egg in Skyrim.

I seem to recall Todd mentioned in the recent German TV interview that there will be travel to the planes of Oblivion.

How could anyone not desire those nausea inducing head-aches brought on by the obnoxious, searing RED that was Mehrunes's Deadlands... :banghead:
