I am not an animal hater, but for reality in the game, pets should be killable.

I hope the famous http://www.elderscrolls.com/skyrim/media/screenshots/riverwood/ from the pic's means we can have one follow us.

And I agree, I wouldn't want it dying from a casual blow (which is more realistic, unless it was part wolf and had a thick hide)

If there are pets in Skyrim, then they will be killable; this was the case for Dogmeat in Fallout 3, unless he were manually set as essential with the command console on PC.

Yes, killable, but what about...
...DLC: Dog Armor Pack?

You could get a pet in Shivering Isles who was killable. Why would it change if you can still have pets?

The only organisms that are essential are main quest givers and, uh, you know...the little ones.

But I thought killing virtual things was evil and wrong?

Maybe there should be a rule on these forums - "No discussing killing animals" ...because, you know, in-game animals are real.

There are no international laws against that, so no.

I don't know what country you're from, but i'm pretty sure if I beat someone's dog to death i'd be arrested and charged with animal abuse.

Not if you do it virtually.

On that other subject, yes there are laws against doing that virtually.

Are you sure about that? I thought it was just frowned upon by simpletons.

....It also supports leaving home at age ten, not attending school (unless it refers to the aforementioned dog fights) and having unescorted minors traipse around the continent.
