Always a bigger fish..

Yes! This is what I said! This is what I always say!

See?

I believe you. I think it would be a pretty cool fight. Thought I doubt we would be able to do it the same way. Concidering they'd have to add first person climbing mechanics so we can cling on, and stab the beast. What would be cool if was like that sea monster fight in Resident Evil 4 when you were on the boat, and throwing harpoons at the enemy. That would be badass, and totally doable in first person.

My sentiments exactly. That's what I meant by...

Admittedly, I doubt Skyrim could implement anything as massive and engaging but hopefully there will be creatures of surmountable size lurking in the Sea of Ghosts.

I know what you meant. I probably should have said that I "agree" with what you said instead. Even though we might not be able to fight the creature the same way I still want it to be insanely huge. Man I could just imagine it...

My character standing on a small rickety boat, and then seeing this big [censored] H.P Lovecraft esque monster just rise out of sea. I use my dragon shout to summon a dragon to help distract it, while I poke it with my sword, and shoot arrows at it. Man that would kick so much ass. I bet it would drop some epic loot as well.

I was just wondering as to whether you guys think Bethesda will introduce us to some larger more frightening underwater encounters like the massive eel in oblivion. For example your exploring a cave when you come across a section that appears to be submerged. You willing jump into the water to get to the other side thinking a few eels is nothing! as you swim you get this feeling that you are not alone and then BAM! a giant fish of sorts tries to eat you!

Discuss...

how about a uber long snake fish that attacks dealing massive damage , then swims away, exposing it's ridiculously long tail for your hack and slash the living [censored] out of. only for him to screech at you and attack you even harder. maybe even more damage?

ohhh and giant barnacles?

Yes I'd love sea monsters. I think some of them should be unkillable too. After all you are not at home in the water.
While swimming in deep dark places I want to feel completely useless without any hope. I want to fear these creatures. And not that they would become just something to fight.
You shouldn't be able to swing your weapons under water anyway.
You'd have to escape them with wit or skill, or both.

Example from the top of my mind, throw some meat to the other side of the lake and swim for the other side like hell. (Slightly inspired by Amnesia: The Dark Descent.)

amnesia was great. except the ending... the ending made me so mad i was like. how about i kill myself? hows that for an ending? huh? huh? GRRRRRR

Definitely. Reminds me of how much I can't wait to summon dragons on giants and other massive enemies.
