All items should have a purpose

If every single item has a use than there will be less items. In my opinion the more items there are then there will be more items with uses. The more the merrier.

(I voted last option)

Why does quality always have to take away from quantity? Instead of focusing on the "important" things, why cant everything be amazing?

Because that takes time. Time that may not be available.

If it meant another month of development so that wooden spoons could have a use in some lame and ultimately meaningless mini-game would the community be happy? I doubt it. The truth is in life as it is in fantasy. Not everything is useful. Not everything is valuable. Those sets are not mutually exclusive.
