» Sat Sep 18, 2010 10:48 am To me Fallout , was a game / a franchize I have never heard of, until Faollout 3!..and that was just a complusive buy at the time! But when I sat down to play it, it was like nothing I have ever played before, it had an immersive world, that you could spend hours in ( real time ) and not even notice, this was all completely new to me, as i was sp fixated on FPS's and sports games! From vault 101 I was hooked! I spent over 200+ hours playing that game, and joining in on the community helping one another out on finding weapons,locations etc. etc.....So basicaly I was an RPG virgin! So on the announcment of ' New Vegas' i went out and bought Fallout 1 & 2 ! played them both and was suprised at what I have been missing out on over the years ! ............But...
it might just be me ..but ' New Vegas ' just dosent seem to be as immersive and immaginitave as Fallout 3....i seem to catch myself just exploring the Mojave for the sake of it, instead of for the fun of it! Alot of locations seem pointless and not as interesting as the ' Capital Wasteland ' ....... and it seems more of a choir ( might be spelt wrong) than actual fun!!
Side Quests - They seem very repetitive and ...just go do this and report back....in FO3, they had more story and more of a fun facotr behind them! - In my opinion!
I know im not a true Fallout fan, since i only picked up on it from Fallout 3! .... but i feel a bit dissapointed from this sequel!
I do enjoy the game, and have already clocked over 50hrs of gameplay ( 2 playthroughs) but in my opinion Fallout 3 was better - In my opinion
