Walled Cities

People on here talk as if those ugly, high, and towerless, walls (completely devoid of any from Oblivion are gonna be present in Skyrim, but I've yet to see an actual quote saying that, so are these terrible things confirmed (please show a quote if you state its confirmed ingame)?

The Skyrim trailer make this seem quite impossible as its hard for me to imagine bethesda adding walls around Makareth (they'd have to wall in the entire edge of the cliff), and the city in the background of the windmill scene didn't look like it had walls.

The worst things about these enourmos giant pieces of [CENSORED] (in my opinion) is that they had guards right at the gates, making it impossible for thieves with bounties to enter cities, making it impossible to play any guilds, or do anything which would take place within a city for people with bounties, I really hope they find some way to allow thieves entrance to cities if walled cities are confirmed, such as hidden entrances like the one in bruma.

not walls, but definetly another cell.

It was confirmed too many times. Just look up for it, wont take over a minute.

People need to stop whining about it... If Beth were to take them away 90% of them would be complaining about a laggy game in cities.

I have no problems with wall arounds cities , but ... I would love homesteads and slums before you are entering the city ....

And than I mean a bit more than Weye with one Farm and one Tavern ...

I'm expecting a lot more areas like the anvil docks in the towns of skyrim.

Large parts of the town outside the walls, whereas the more well-to-do areas were enclosed, gated and guarded and whatnot.

That works for thieves because you could have your guild in the out-town and sneaking into the up-town area with like a bounty or negative reputation could provide a unique and really fun challenge.

Large cities 3 or 4 city walls (north east, south west) ... Smaller cities , townships, villages, slums before cities, farms before cities no 'large walls' but maybe wooden walls or just low stone walls, branches or fences .... Depending on the town ...

Ofcourse there are guards standing at the gates of large cities, but the guards shouldn't b psysich ... Except if you started a genocide in a other city , but that is another story ....

You also should have the option to talk you're self out , or bribe the guard to let you in .... Logical not ?

I am not against secrect entrances, sewers, catacombs below cities, even dungeons below cities ...

Not me, I was used to using a 10 year old computer, with modern games a while ago, took over 30 minutes to start the computer itself, now if you look at that fact then how laggy do you think modern games where on it?
