This is a thread for sharing those panicked moments for when you start to defecate microfusion cells out in the Mojave as you realise that shot where you missed the fire gecko hit a death claw behind it.


I was on a energy weapons build for my first character (about level 8) and had just got the C-Finder killsat and was happily wandering round near the edge of the Vegas area, when Oh [censored] I see a deathclaw and it's young. But AHAH! I think, what about using this new toy as I've seen what this can do to fiends. As the deathclaw realises my presence and starts charging I'm aiming and watching the targeting lasers.

BOOM

"Haha svck on that" I cry and laugh joyously, only to watch in horror as the Deathclaw stands up, laughs in contempt charges again whilst having just under half health.

No followers, no guns better than my newly acquired mostly broken laser rifle with a scope and soon followed by no hit-points as I panicked and watched myself die.

One of my OMGWTFBBQ moments was when I found the Anti-Materiel Rifle and I stashed it for later. When the time came to use it I pulled that baby out and aimed at the cheat of a legion fighter and fired. I was like OMFGWTFBBQ!??!?! That guy was blown like 18-20 feet backwards in a bloody fountain of gore. And the sound and kick of that gun is amazing. I all around just love that gun.
