So East of the Boomers front gate a little ways down the railroad track there is a train tunnel with a Very Hard Lock. Once picked you can enter it and you have your typical train tunnel filled with ghouls land mines and traps once you get to the end you have to pick another very hard lock to get out and your by the train station that has a bunch of Deathclaws.

But not so fast! About half way through the tunnel there's a room to the right filled with junk, And a YELLOW CONSTRUCTION HAT! Just like the one the guy in Sloan is wearing. There's nothing special about it. Its just cool as heck and I love hats.

And the tunnel is And a cool short cut through the mountains.

This play through I found a black Fire Helmet on a corpse in the tunnel, don't recall it being there before. Didn't notice the construction hat but it's DT 2, which makes it the best in the game from a protection point of view.

It's not so cool if you don't know what happens at the Boomer end of it!

My experience: "Oh look, there's an airfield. Let's have a look... What was that strange noise...?"

There is also a Policeman's and Fireman's hat in the game to be found.

Strangely no feather head dress though, not counting the female gamblers hats.
It really would be fun to get all the companions at the 39, then dress them as the village people.

The constuction and fire mans hard hats have been in that tunnel for a while.
I'm not positive but other construction hats can be found elsewhere.
The policemans hat I've only seen one on a NPC before.

I have found only one construction hat, but i don't remember it being in the tunnel. That means there is probably more than one. There are also more than one Fireman's helmet. The policeman's hat comes off a bad guy—I only know of the one.

A construction hat isn't a helmet?
I thought a helmet is a headgear meant to protect the head. :shrug: (And construction hats are designed to protect head from falling items)

How about a pimp hat? In my main game Rotface started wearing a pimp hat. It was purple, large brim, low crown, and a big purple feather. I wanted that hat, but my character is a good guy. I haven't seen that hat on anyone else.

Definitely a hat, the clue is in the name. It looks like a helmet, it acts like a helmet but it's a hat.

In swedish it's called bygg-arbets-hj?lm which translates to contruction helmet. :mellow:

Anyway, it's not a pretty thing, none of them are and it's mainly used for protection, so I'll consider it a helmet even thought it's name is construction hat.

However that hat, with Wastelander garb, a combat knife and lever / hunting rifles would look great for a tracker.
