I want, more than anything, to be able to pop a squat at one of these places, watch the birds and the animals, kill a deer, start a fire, and just enjoy being in the wilderness while in the comfort of my EZ chair and air conditioning with a refrigerator full of coke. That would be so perfect.

I've always wanted, so badly, to be able to sit in the environment in Oblivion. There are mods that let you bring a chair wherever you go, but that was lame. What I want is to be able to sit on a log, a bench, a rock, or just sit "Indian-style" on the ground. Please devs, take a look at this and try to make it happen. I really do wish I could just... sit for a while.

I take it you want to sit down, I agree though why couldnt we just take a seat in the middle of a forest in Oblivion.

Is this a scan or a screenshot? Can I ask where you got the original image?

This is rarely ever in games period but I would definitely use it if such a feature were included.

SOLUTION:

Go into first-person, crouch, stop moving.

Instant sitting.

Heck, as long as we're pretending I could just imagine I'm playing Skyrim right now and not even need to buy it!

A real solution would be for the character to plant themselves on the ground after the player goes idle while crouching.

Yeah, I agree. Isn't it weird though, that we all want to play Skyrim so bad, because we want to just sit around...in a game?

if they hadn't cut all the skills i would say maybe a survival skill would allow you to set up camp anywhere! but idk now. maybe as in demons souls you hold a button long enough and an action pad appears... squat, lay down, hand stand, cannon ball into the pond whatever your heart desires

Hope you get it to load, because there are a couple screenshots I hadn't seen. I hope they release some shots like those online soon. They were pretty cool imo. If you get it to load though, they're pretty far into the magazine.

EDIT: They're the same screens they're talking about in this thread....

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1195263-%E2%80%8E3-new-skyrim-screenshots-in-the-june-issue-of-game-informer/

From that thread, Luke Skyrimmer posted them in a manner you should be able to view them.

From the free Game Informer issue.

Can controller limitations really be a valid argument? Just because you can't do it on a 360 doesn't mean you can't do it on a PC.
Not only that, but button combos are almost unlimited, even if controller limitations are the issue. Just press X and O together or something.

It does when The Todd has said they're working to make sure every player on every platform has the same experience. That means it's as simple as "It can be done on all platforms, or else it won't be done on any."

I would love to be able to sit and im glad you have nothing to do with making the game if this is how you look at problems tbh.

or, in the player stats section of our, uhh, skyrim pip boy(i dont know what you call it exactly, inventory?) there could be the option to sit. This was in fallout(npcs would some times just sit ojn the ground), and would be cool in this game.

PC - /sit

Console - Options/ Controls/ Set/ Save/ Back/ Start/ Profit

Doesn't seem hard to me.
I hope for more emote animations, for stools, chairs, benches, fountains, and of course, out in the open.
