Few questions i'd like answered

Hello everyone!

I bought Fallout: New Vegas yesterday for 360, and i have played it for 2 hours now. But there are few things I am confused about, so if anyone can clear these things up for me, I would appreciate it.

If a enemy wears a really heavy and protective armor, but has his head completely unprotected, and i shoot him in the head; does it count as shooting something unarmored (simply put: should i use hollow-point or armor piercing?)

If I am shunned by a faction, does it mean they 1) dislike me 2) will attack me at sight?

What reputation level makes that faction hostile to me?

If i kill somebody in complete silence, does that affect my reputation with his faction even though there are no witnesses (meaning does reputation work like karma)

And lastly, does a weapon repair kit fully repair a weapon?
