1 ARMOR SKILL

i just found out that there will be 15 skills to choose from for armor. if we were using the old apprentice, journeyman, expert, master system there would be 12 perks total for all the armors. soooo what do you want those 3 extra skills to be? the would have to be compatible with light, medium and heavy armor of course..

i say one should be dedicated to maintaining the condition of your armor or longer periods of time

If there are 15 armor perks and one skill, it could work.

Since perks work completely differently now, this isn't a problem...

Also there's already a thread for this...

1 ARMOR SKILL

what i mean is.. remember the perks you gained for becoming a , journeyman, expert, and master (i know im missing one)? well with only one armor type those perks will have to be extremely well thought out to still tailor to assassins, juggernauts, medium armor classes and so on.

so what im asking is.. what do you think the 1,2,3,4 perks you gain for your single armor skill?

Well, since the "perk" system has been converted into a "skill tree" system, there probably won't be any Apprentice/Journeyman/Expert type automatic perks anyway. Most likely you'll have an assortment to choose from that will provide benefits to some aspect of your armor use, and pick whichever ones benefit you most.

Which does actually seem worrisome...so we might be able to pick a perk that works like the old "light armor" perk that adds a 50% bonus, but apply it (since there's only one armor skill) to whatever we're wearing, making heavy armor "OMG nothing can touch me?" Then there's also the question of whether that's a bad thing, as it would make more than just Daedric viable top-line endgame equipment.

oh did they get rid of the perks you gain for leveling up a particular skill? cause thats what i was talking about! blades perk 1= stronger stationary attack perk 2= spinning attack
perk3= backwards attack perk4= assualt attack

Yeah, those are history.

I kinda laugh at spinning attack. Oh look you turned you back to me... poke oh look your momentum just made a longer deeper wound.. I win...

Skill trees have their importance. Perks are kinda what DA had with its attack skill tree thing.

This is why skill trees are important. It makes punishments from deviating from the build you made. Prevents a assasin from wearing full daedric and being able to sneak up on people and what not.

Honestly, if there is just going to he one skill for Armor then why not just have no skill for armor and have perks in a separate window.
Like, with talents in some games there are different trees, talents for swords, talents for summoning et cetera.
And then there is the misc talent tree for all those things that don't really have a skill or class requirement.
Why not just put the armor perks in that tree?
It's pointless to have one armor skill, even more so than it was to have two for heavy and light. /imo
