In game hair growth?

I say no, only because I typically like my character looking as they do when I first create them. I'd be a little annoyed to have spent time making the character as I like, and then a few ingame days later they start growing a beard. It just seems like an inconvenience, even if I overlook however long it might take to develop. I don't really mind all that much about how realistic it is either. Hair grows in the real world, but then again it's still annoying to need to get it cut/styled/shave. Video games can feel free to include certain parts of reality, but I'd prefer it if they excluded some of the more mundane aspects.

Like others have said though, a barber NPC would be very useful. If there ever is a time where I want to see my character's hair change, it'd be very different, which a constantly increasing length just couldn't do for me.

And on a slightly off-topic note, I hope Bethesda creates more attractive hairstyles this time around. There were really only two or three good ones that I used often in Oblivion, and then everything else just looked outrageously awful. I'd like it if every (humanoid) race had at least 30 well designed styles to choose from, instead of about 10, 8 of which look absolutely ridiculous and the other two could use improvement.

New eye colors too...

The hair in TES has been pretty aweful. I always tend to be bald or have a buzz cut to avoid the hippy hair.

For those of you that care so much I'm going off topic to explain how a simple two letter sentence is wasting space. It makes more pages when the poll 'no' is just a click away and everyone sees it.

Thanks for posting the links Alois Hammer. Glad to see I wasn't the only one thinking of the idea. I like the idea of beard tripping. : } This way we can make Merlin.

My wife and I bought Sims 3 when it came out. I don't really like the idea of doing everything in a video game that I should be doing in real life.

Beards would only have to be able to grow out a certain length. Short enough that it could still fit in a closed helm lol.

I agree. Good ideas. I liked how they changed the amount of monster/creature encounters in Oblivion compaired to Morrowind. I used to get spammed with cliff racers, mud crabs, and slaughter fish... and that was pretty annoying. I too spend a good couple hours or so making my main character before starting a new game in Oblivion so I understand how important it is. I think we should be able to make our own eye color just like we were with the hair color in Oblivion.

No, just go the Fallout 3 route and have barbers. They have to be manly Viking barbers, though, who cut your hair with an axe.

Haha yeah... Honestly I have no idea what they used to cut hair other than knives and sharp rocks back in the good old days.

I like how in Morrowind you can add peircings and facial tattoos. I'm sure they added that into Skyrim. In don't think Orcs, Khajiit, and Argonians should be able to grow facial hair, however. I feel it wouldn't make sense. They also need better clothing in the game. Like early Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, and Scandanvian styled clothing. The clothes in Oblivion svcked. Haha : }
