'bout as close as I can see to being a useful full slashing weapon.
Even still its made redundant by a long sword.

That's pretty much your typical medieval spear design and no its not made redundant by a long sword, any much more than an Ax is made redundant by a sword. Its just a play style.

sounds slightly trollish but i wont assume. Spears were my favorite weapons in morrowind... because of range and the way that they look.

always used medium armour and spear as an argonian but I don't care it will be just interesting to see what uh... skills they will get

The whole arguement is kind of pointless though. I mean I don't miss them because I never used them and never want to. They're just not in the game just like knuckle dusters. I'm sure they could be made to work also.
