pole weapns

Will there be Halberds, scythes, or other pole weapons in Skyrim?

Yes. Bardiches were specifically mentioned. Basically they're treated as 2 handed axes. You can see one in one of the draugr screenshots. No word on longer pole weapons, but they're probably out.

One of the concept art pieces in the "Art of Skyrim" video had a halberd-like weapon, and when Todd was asked if there were spears he said something along the lines of "Not in the usual sense, not right now." Those are the only two official bits I can think of right now.

This have been discussed before. The best answer I can give you is, maybe. Bethesda is trying these weapons out and they are seing if it fits.

If there are halberds or Naginatas, I'll use one, but a spear? No thanks, it's still just a pointed stick.
