hahaha, i tried heading there at like lvl 2 from that direction, at one point I was just sitting on a high rock while about 10 radscorpions were watching me... I ended up pumping every healing item into me and making a run for it...

I have learned that while chasing a few bark scorpions from Helios 1 into a canyon starts out looking like fun and easy experience, it is really quite deceptive.

"I'll just go kill those real quick and get back to what I was doing." After fifteen bark scorpions and three giant radscorpions, I was feeling pretty good about myself.

Then Cass and ED-E get killed at once from behind... I turn to look at what happened just in time to see 5 giant radscorpions crawling over their corpses towards me way too fast.

So I calmly put away my rifle and proceed to run away in the original direction... only to run into the message "you have discovered Scorpion Gulch" and five more giant radscorpions with ten more bark scorpions.

Needless to say I died... Repeatedly... Total of thirteen tries to get through without anyone dieing... Hell is a canyon full of giant pissed off scorpions.

Sweep the leg. A hobbled critter is a dead critter.

Maria is the sworn enemy of radscorpions. I go through the scorpions like butter with that gun.
