I accidentally killed and NCR veteran ranger. I'm at Dark Hero. Any way to get myself higher rep? I want to be on better terms. Help please.

Do more quests for them. All of the assorted camps have a quest or three.

If you have a rep of "Dark Hero" now then you will never be able to get any better of a rep than "Unpredictable" for the rest of that game. I'd reload a saved game if you want a rep better than "Unpredictable". The Infamy you acquire and its influence on your rep never goes away no matter how much Fame you acquire.
