Screwed up a quest.

If I screwed up and killed off Cachino and helped them get the items they need and wanted to undo this via console commands. Is there a way? I know I should have saved, but the last save was like 4 hours back, and I would rather not go through all of that again. Also if I do use console commands do they screw up my game and stop me from getting achievements?

If you use console commands then right after closing the console, save your game, then shut down the game and restart and fire up that saved game.

Fallout New Vegas will remember if you used the console for that gaming session and will not allow achievements to be active for that session.

Shutting down thw game and restarting creates a new session.

There are a lot of commands to manipulate quests, including resetquest. However most of them are problemmatical. Going forward in a quest is tricky enough, but going backward rarely works.

Here is the definitive list http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Gamebryo_console_commands_%28all%29. Be sure to heed the warning at the top.

Yea, reset quest and spawning Cachino back didn't work. I'll just have to restart from the last save, thanks for showing me the console commands.
