No Redguard love?

I like Redguard NPCs and their lore a lot. I prefer to play elves over humans and mages and sneaks over warriors so I haven't had a Redguard character yet.

And not everybody makes characters based on their own race and gender. Some of us like to branch out a little more.

Redguards are great! I've played one a few times. I usually stuck with a Breton in Oblivion and an Imperial in Morrowind.

I didn't like the way the Redguards looked in Oblivion.
I played as an Orc once in Morrowind, and I'll probably try out one in Skyrim.

The visual improvements that have been made on the characters is amazing. Its going to be hard to pick a first character.

People need to make up their minds, are redguards black or exotic?

I haven't rally played as any other race than Nord in Oblivion. I've tried creating characters of other races, but I seem to keep gravitating back to nords, in Oblivion. I think it's the battle cry and the only race that I can make look half decent with an absolutely black goatee (all-be-it "tattooed" ).

I played as an Orc in Morrowind (playing as the under-dog), but I haven't even bothered to try playing as one in Oblivion. Can't get past the teeth. :yuck:

Tried making a Breton, but I usually like to play a hardened, stealthy warrior/ hunter type. I just can't picture a Breton to be the sort. Come across as too... fragile?

I tried my hand at making a Redguard, but I couldn't find the right combo that I like of hair style. Having the goatee was a must for me and I couldn't get it to look right along with a hair style that I liked. Most hair style options for Redguard character generation were too old school (70s-ish). plus, to me, the cornrow didn't seem to fit with the goatee. I hope Beth puts in more modern hair style choices in Skyrim AND actual beards (including a nice trim goatee). I can say though that Redguard is the only race in Oblivion that make bald look good. B)

Describe your idea of exotic.

I will always have a special place in my heart for Tyrone the cornrow-haired Redguard pimp-mage, my first character in Oblivion. He was DY-NO-MITE!
