Dual Wielding question

Post » Thu Nov 04, 2010 9:38 am

i was curious how blocking would work with dual wielding. i have a 360, and from what i can make out, there's only one free button for blocking, the right bumper. Can anybody help me out?

Left trigger and right trigger simultaneously. Right bumper is for dragon shouts.

It will probably be with the default block button, and maybe you can hit with the sheild also, pressing the attack button.

I also have a question about dual wielding, if blocking is going to be pressing both triggers at once, will we be unable to attack with both weapons at the same time?(other than alternating R/L/R/L etc.)

I was under the impression you couldn't block while dual wielding? Just with a shield and twohanded weapons?

That was what I had thought as well.

I'm definitely hoping you can block while dual wielding swords, i mean it wouldn't be kinda silly not to be able to block, i thought a possible way that they could implement blocking could be to half hold the trigger. it might sound silly but for anyone who played GTA4 you had to half hold the left trigger to free aim and it worked quite well.

Another way i had thought was that if the LB is a free button, then maybe you could hold and pull the triggers to block with weapons or hold that and the triggers tobash with your shield. I believe i also read somewhere that there was three ways to use basic destruction spells, e.g. fireball, flamethrower and rune trap, well if thats the case then maybe this system could work as well, pull to shoot a fireball, hold to flamethrower and hold left bumper and pull trigger at the same time to place rune.

You might not understand my weird ideas or think they are just plain stupid but that was just a way i thought it could work :cookie:

Perhaps have it so that when pushing LT and RT, and releasing, you'll strike with both. If you hold however, you'll attempt to parry.

It has been confirmed that you can charge with the shield and hit with it.

Yea, holding whatever trigger the shield is equipped to will perform a shield bash. Tapping it will raise it to perform a block.

What? That doesn't make sense! So the blocking function is togglable?
