Making hardcoe harder

And I'll even do you one better... it's shouldn't just stop there, they should have implemented a danger system where if you fall asleep in the wilderness (on a makeshift bed or whatever), there'd be a chance you'd be woken up by attackers; the longer you slept the greater the chance of something bad happening across your character. Wasn't that part of the original Fallouts too, or did Morrowind have something like that? My memory fails me..

I don't know if it was in Fallout 1-3 (presumably not in 1-2, because they don't really have an equivalent to sleeping/waiting in the wilderness, do they?), but what you're describing was definitely a feature in Morrowind.

Now I could do this now but I cheat because it is there!
Then don`t cheat. I have never, ever used fast travel in Oblivion, Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas. I walk and run, period. It`s the only way to play these RPGs if you`re interested in realism, IMO.

I think the hardest way to play this game would be without fast travel! Now I could do this now but I cheat because it is there!

How would you feel if Developers put in a Harder hardcoe that adds the option to play without ANY Fast travel options!

Maybe add some reward for finishing the game that way.

Your ideas?

if this was the way the next hardcoe mode will be i would be very upset, take your game time now or after you beat the game times it bye at least 3 and bam thats how long the game will now take you to finish bye having to walk back and forth back and forth back and forth over hundreds of in game miles. However I would think it would be very cool if they made a hardcoe mode with no fast travel but with other means to travel faster, i.e. a horse, or maybe a tamed big horn.

Fast travel is often the only way to escape when I find myself stuck inside a rock, so I vote to keep it. :D

They should have made fast travel like in the original games, have it so you can see on your map as you "travel" and have a chance to get stopped along the way by raiders, or random encounters etc.

How about something truly hardcoe?

Realistic damage! example: you get a 12 gauge shotgun blast to the head = you die

It's a little off topic but i kind of agree with this, only having headshots against unaware NPCs always kill them. Its annoying having to shoot a guy in the face 5 times to kill him but i wouldnt want every headshot in the middle of a battle to kill an enemy

You outdid yourself on that. Here's hoping your on the design team of the next Fallout game. I don't think the first 2 did this, but I'm all in favor of it.

Thanks.. :foodndrink: I just really wish they actually made it a point to ask the fans what they'd like to see implemented in the game before creating it... They' d get a TON of ridiculous ideas, but probably a whole helluva lot of good ones as well. "sigh." Like, they already have a train taking people into Vegas, why not expand that to the rest of the map? Have stations located near major cities and locations, and you can only fast travel using them... and to make it even more interesting, random evens could be things like a good old fashioned train robbery!

Maybe next time they'll consult me.. LOL. Of course, I was the one that also said that shooting plungers out of the Rock-It Launcher should cause them to stick to enemies, so maybe they decided not to take me seriously after that :lmao:

Ideas are a dime a dozen, it's implementation that is lacking.
