Which safhouse is better?

Post » Sat Nov 13, 2010 12:04 am

I was wondering which one was better. I had the Novac room but then I got the Presidential Suite and liked it because it was stylish and had a workbench. But now i got the brotherhhod of steel safehouse and it has a worckbench and a reloading bench but it's not as stylish. I'm not really a big supporter of the BoS and don't really wear the armor. I support the NCR for the most part. So which safehouse is better? Or if there is one that's better than both of them tell me what it is. Thanks.

For practicality?
Abandoned BOS Bunker. (Dead Money)
Cause that way you can break the game's repair skill and economy.

And easily gtfollower fame, by getting 100 med x then donating it.

I like legion. Purely becuase I use a campfire more than a workbench.

Don't forget the Followers of the Apocalypse and isn't there also a Legion safehouse?

I don't like the 38 because of the floating dust and there 3 doors to get into it unless you're already on that part of the strip, I don't like any of the faction safehouses because there's occasionally other people in them (I know this is irrational), so I generally stick to Novac. There's plenty of storage and there's traders, workbenches and a post box nearby. Plus I'm idolised there, which is nice.

The Prospectors Den would be good if it wasn't for the dead bodies and the two doors to the living quarters.

I don't use safehouses, but I have access to the NCR safehouse.

The legion has the best loot in it if you ask me, if you like sunglasses and high luck.

I like to collect as many of the safehouses as I can, so I always have a place to craft and crash nearby.

Not long after you clear it, living prospectors takes up residence again and clears up the dead. So you'll have both vendors and the reloading bench available. Very handy!

I'll have to revisit there and check that out. Thanks.

i use the Fisherman's Pride Shack in my new game , on the shoreline of Lake Mead . It has storage , a fridge and healthy water (drink the lake's water just in front of the door ) .

Only "problem" is that there are Lakelurks who spawn somtimes next to it , and you can't access it in the early game because it's far from goodsprings .

Otherwise i agree that Novak is probably one of the most practical place to stay , because there is everything for storing items and food/water , a doctor almost always there , and reloading bench at the fuel station . the "problem" of Novak is that there is no healthy water with 0 Rad .
At Goodspring , there is a red house that is unnocupied , it faces the saloon and the trader's shop (when you exit the shop , in front of you at 50 meters ) . it's practical too , like Novak (Doc , food , trader , reloading bench and workbench ) and you have access to clean water at the Saloon's bathroom

That's Easy Pete's house, sometimes I wake up and he's been in the double bed with me when I used to sleep there. Victor's shack is good too and he never sleeps with me. ;)

I voted Other because I use the Portable Tent and take it with me everywhere. It even has a snowglobe rack. I never use any safehouse anymore.

Abandoned Brotherhood of Steel Bunker. Bring cartons of cigarettes, walk away with a [censored]load of Weapon Repair Kits and chems.

You can't get that from any safehouse! I love it :celebration:

I don't use them either. I wind up dropping everything I don't need. I know it's unreasonable, but it saves me trips and play time.

Novac. Ranked third closet to all crafting platforms and near the middle of the map.

I have a room at the Atomic Wrangler. Easy to get (just do their quests), and close to the action.

Where can i get a portable tent?! :P

Location, location, location is what some people say and I guess that's me. If it had a campfire and a workbench it would be perfect but I love the NCR Safe House. It feels safe and cozy under that mountain too.

Non-safehouse user here too. Tho I've been in the NCR and a couple others to peek around. I don't like the idea that someone else can pop in now and then (even if they're useful) ... makes it feel like not mine.

I love the Novac room but it does get old and dingy to the eyes after a while, thus I modded it to be better. Now it's perfect. ;)
