Storms

Post » Mon Nov 15, 2010 11:47 am

Im sorry, I couln't help myself...I had to make a thread for this idea!!! I was thinking, storms! Volcanic eruptions (2 much?) wild fires, earthquakes, tornadoes? Something more then the normal snow and rain, ccasional lightning+thunder. Blizzards? Seems reasonable. When it rains...rivers and streams could over flow and flood surrounding areas?

Would take too much time to implement, but heavy storms that hamper you, I can support.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Blizzards are confirmed.

Great idea however I feel it would take up too much development time to be able to implement it effectively, Would love it in the game though. Avalanches would be awsome, you could snowboard on a dragons skull, wait a minute I think I have gone off topic again.

Volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tornadoes - No. A bit too excessive and would take up too much dev-time.

Heavy rainfall, thunder, lightning, blizzards - YES!

Blizzards would definetly be an obvious storm choice.

They said their was a volcanic tundra and im quite sure that means their is a volcano, but it would be cool if it did erupt every once and awhile then it'd cause like a volcanic winter for a few days..

I would love to be trapped in a thunderstorm. Fog and actual rain effects (such as raindrops on camera, little splashes on lakes, NOT raining underneath roofs) would be nice as well. I hear we already have snow effects so I will be content with them if we can't have anything else nature wise.

No offense, but eruptions, wildfires, earthquakes and tornadoes seem a little silly, Eruptions, big flow of lava, essentially blocking off route. Wildfires, would take a lot of processor power and most likely lag people with slower computers (or a console) up. Earthquakes, just be shaking screen and trees falling down really. Tornadoes, yeah... can't think of a bad reason, I just have a gut instinct it wouldn't work. A blizzard would be perfect though.

I'm very disappointed in you, couldn't even wait an hour before your next thread. Naah, I actually love your threads and enjoy reading and replying to them.

In Stalker, their was these electric storms called emissions.. I think it would be cool if their was some storms like this.. I mean no instant-kill but like massive winds and electricity which can hurt you... Plus lots of rain.. Also I thought it was cool in stalker that you would look up like a minute before the storm and you would see like a hurricane's eye.. It would be cool if their was some sort of clouds that would be some sort clouds to say when a certain storm is coming
