Small game?

Post » Sat Nov 20, 2010 12:30 pm

In OB all you had were the biggies, like deer and bears, you heard bird song, but saw no birds. In Skyrim, it would be cool to have birds you could try and shoot down, chickens, racoons, snakes, mice...that would be cool. Imagine running through a Skyrim meadow and all the sudden you disturb a flock of beutiful birds that flutter up around you. What about bugs? Butterflies, bees, all these would better the game!

Yes! Will there be different types, like ravens and eagles?

 Love to see some realistic and believable wildlife. Especially different game to hunt, and more provisions to get from them.

I believe Bethesda could add butterflies in to Skyrim relatively easy because they had butterflies in the Shivering Isles for Oblivion.

I am hoping the general environment of the world is massively improved. I want to be able to see fully interacting wildlife, I want to be able to see birds of differnt species and be able to tell them apart, larger amount of wildliferather than the same few animals, I want the interaction between you and the natural world to be realistic and deep. It won't happen though becaude they will be focusing on other things. Shame

Perhaps on the game after Skyrim they will...

No game has done wildlife better than Red Dead Redemption. Bethesda should take notes...

It would be very nice but i wouldn't count on mice and racoons being in, hopefully chickens, not so sure about snakes (probably not) If some animals were vital to some things, like birds and chickens dropping feathers that could be used for fletching (assuming fletching is in) instead of paying for feathers, that would be nice.

Also, isn't this your 5th thread in 2 days?

EDIT: And if there are cows, that would be invaluable to any leatherworkers (assuming leatherworking is in) and should be able to be sold a tannery at a higher price than anywhere else.

animals. Yes it makes sense to add them so I can chase things over than deers and sheep, now I get goats to chase too. Bugs. No that would be too much detail and would be hard to do. But yeah animals yes, now if you don't mind I have a job to do. (chases a mouse)

Apart from chickens and birds I don't like any of your suggestions. I want more original creatures in. We're meant to be somewhere between Oblivion and Morrowind not full blown Oblivion and then some.

What happened to my kagouti, alit and nix hounds? Netches?

I'm not asking for these exact things, just something....Different.

As far as Red Dead Redemption goes it was brilliant. The horse animations especially were spectacular and very realistic and that is the level Bethesda has to reach, which I think why they have yet to confirm them in the game. Either that or Todd is playing games with us.... He wouldn't would he?

I don't mind nix hounds and others, but to an extent, and...whats wrong with the fact that I have lots of ideas? Should I really have a tally? You don't mean it as an insult, do you? Sarcasm? I kinda like my ideas!

Some wildlife is good, but I don't want to see too much wildlife. At least not so much of the conventional wildlife. Be nice if they made some more original creatures like guar, etc.
