I'm at Fort, with most off the Legion forces killed-off, but I die every time i enter Caesar's tent. I have a Brush gun, and Boone has an Anti-Materiel Rifle, but we just get swarmed and killed by guards every time.

I'm on hardcoe mode, so spamming stimpacks doesn't work, and I can't sneak in past the dogs and stealth him, so what do I do? I'm pre-patch (no Xbox Live), so my Explosives don't work for [censored], and even if I step in, headshot Caesar, and run-out, they follow me out and kill me effortlessly. Even if I were to do that with Boone waiting somewhere safe, and just run away from the guards, I might not get the full benefit of Boone's being with me.

IDK what to do. Help?

You dont have to kill him anyway I beleive so just let a guy be.

I tried killing him and im also, well not patched (no xbox live)

But I could not.

Also my character was based on explosives and it did not turn out well so i just beated the game as fast as i could for the Acheivment.

Seriously, that's the quick and easy way to take out the praetorian guards. In fact, it almost makes it too easy.

A brush gun vs a bunch of praetorian guards equipped with ballistic fists close-range? Sounds totally fool proof, bro. I cannot see how this could possibly fail. :whistling:

Killed him. I ran into the tent, ran back out, and let them chase me to where I had a wall at both flanks and jumped over a piece of jutting metal that they couldn't (behined the arena, between it and the rock-wall). They all ran in place, single file, while I dropped them one by one with the AMR with Rex and Boone waiting far enough away as to not get involved (Rex did, but near the end, and somehow survived). Then I switched to the Brush-Gun, mopped up the stragglers in the tent, and executed Benny where he knelt.

Good times, good times.

If you can't beat them join them or retreat.

I find C4 is a effective way of killing him. Just plant loads of C4 outside tent, go inside tent, immediatly go outside tent, when Ceaser and his pals follow, detonate C4, loot bodies :celebration:

Silenced weapon & stealthboy for the tent works. They just mill about and can't see you if your weapon is silent. It's like shooting ducks in a barrel.

I thought about that, but the my successful method was more fun.

Yeah, no challenge at all in the stealth method. I normally enter/exit so they'll chase & I'll have room to run/backpedal and then take them all on with an automatic like the 12.7SMG or a carbine etc. It's super crazy fun and one of the few vanilla-game challenges.

I tried the stealth/silencer multiple times once because I was trying to get video of Boone saying his line, and all other methods = too much noise or me having to fight too much to hear him say it if he killed Caesar etc. So stealth to kill the guards 1st and then let Boone into the tent for C it was. And it's a good way to deal with it if you have a chr. who has like 1END or no DT/maybe can't survive even a couple ballistic hits or whatever.

Dammit, I should have done that just so I could see Boone say it.
