Alright I've ran through the entire game with the Private Investigator difficulty which unlocked the Hardened Detective difficulty. Then (I know I guess I'm addicted to all things Cthulhu now lol.. bring on the dang sequel developers - somebody buy the rights already! that thought aside..) I played the Hardened Detective difficulty and got a B Rank with only like 96% because I missed some books and lost too many sailors I GUESS.. but it didn't unlock the Mythos Specialist difficulty.Any ideas what I did wrong? I'm playing it on a Xbox 360.BTW - if there any people in here who worked on the game I got to tell you I'm sorry for giving up on it 3 years ago when I got it... I just kept dieing at the hotel! lol... Glad I gave it another chance. :cthulhu:

he he thats allright rather late than never eh. glad you pushed through afterall, I think the people who like this game partly like it because it was an achievement to get through I don't know exactly why you failed to get hardened detective , I think the main things are covered in an old thread called something along the lines of 'how to get a 100%' by G Clarke, eh can't remember his forum handle at the moment, something like codemonkey or something.

I believe that getting 100% is something of a... challenge, shall we say. Akin to climbing Everest or curing cancer. From all the numerous frustrated threads, it sounds like you need to sell your soul to the Elder Gods to get it I simply used svckleads excellent patch to unlock the 100% ending without getting 100%. This unlocked the hardest difficulty (which is rather fun, btw).
