Want to know what a dragon in skyrim will be like?

Step one, get morrowind. Step two get levitate (you can use the construction set to make it cheap and easy to get if you want). Step three get a fireball spell (really soup it up). Final Step cast levitate and shoot fireballs on all the poor habitants of morrowind.

And that my friends is what a dragon will be like.

I hope the Dragons have different colors that represent different ranks. Such as a Brown Dragon would be the lowest rank while a Green Dragon might be the highest rank.

I don't think they have ranks...dragons are generally very independent. If they did have ranks who would assign them, even better a question who would dare paint them? O_O

Don't forget, there are a lot of other shouts out there that allow the dragons to do more than just shoot fireballs. We could easily speculate that there will be frost attacks and such things, but it could be much more interesting than that. We know that at least one Shout allows the player to slow time down, it would be interesting to see this in the hands of a dragon, and what other interesting powers they will have.

The dragons are most likely all one race of dragons, so they'll all be about the same color. This rank by color thing doesn't exist in TES.

No, I'd say dragons won't really be like when the player uses levitation and fire spells in Morrowind, I certainly hope not. For one thing, the levitation mechanics weren't really a very natural representation of a flying creature, and it would look pretty awkward if dragons actually flew like that (Which from what we've heard of them, I don't think will be the case.) just look at how cliffracer's flew in Morrowind. And as has been said, dragons' abilities likely won't be limited to fire breathing. After all, my understanding is that dragons have access to shouts as well, which makes sense, seeing as the shouts are in the language of the dragons. This means in combat, they can probably use at least some of the shouts the player will be able to. I'd also assume that dragons can also swoop down and attempt to use melee with their teeth and claws.
