Wes Johnson (Imperial voice) hasn't done voiceovers yet.

The province is High Rock.

The main province, yeah, but High Rock is divided into a lot of smaller provinces.

The voice work is usually one of the last things that are done with the game, after all the writers have finetuned all their stuff. I guess they put focus on Max von Sydow stuff to be able to announce the game with a bang.

Indeed.

The castle Daggerfall is located in the city Daggerfall in the province of Daggerfall in the game known as Daggerfall.

I think Max is based out of Europe so it would make sense to do his character early.

He was one of the few VA's that didn't annoy me.

I like his voice a lot. Imperials get a bonus to Speechcraft, so it makes sense for him to voice the Imperials in such a charismatic way.

I was actually shocked to discover that he did the voice of Sheogorath shortly after Shivering Isles release. I was trying to figure it out. At first, I thought it was Craig Ferguson.

Oh wow, now I'm really impressed. Not many people can do multiple voices that well. I didn't know he voiced Sheogorath, but now you can kind of hear it if you listen.

They've stated that voice overs will be recorded towards the end of development so that they can add a lot more dialogue

He better be in, or I will slaughter the inhabitants in the nearest chapel in Mehrunes Dagon's name!
j/k, but if they don't hire Wes, I will cry a bit. Bah, of course they have to hire him. Together with Patrick Stewart he's probably the voice that people first think of when they think of Oblivion.

Yes really. Cyrodiil is not the name of a city anymore. [censored] forgive me for using terms as they are now in the games and not brushing up on my past lore. Jesus.

Considering he said that, though they used Imperial City in the actual game, that says to me that originally they had planned to refer to the city as Cyrodiil, and then later changed it to the Imperial City to make things easier to understand, especially for newer players who weren't familiar with the game world. Referring to it as the Imperial City doesn't mean that the lore has specifically changed and that it's simply no longer Cyrodiil. It could just be a different way of referencing it (no different than an American, for instance, might refer to D.C. has 'the capital.' It could also just be that over time, in the game world people started referring to it as that, which wouldn't necessarily make him wrong to say that in character, but perhaps old fashioned.

Anyway, I just think it's wrong to condemn the guy because he referred to the city in a way that it has been referred to in lore.

He's also Lucien LaChance. I've actually talked to him before, cool guy, hope they give him at least one part in Skyrim, for old time's sake.

He's an awesome actor yeah, sure he's a great guy too, very cool that you got to meet him. I hear they''ll have greater variety in terms of voices, which was sorely needed. One voice for an entire race just doesn't work, allthough yeah, I hope Wes does at least one role. The fewer parts he plays though the more memorable they become, like Mr. Burke in Fallout 3.

He belongs in this game at least, that's for sure.

I was impressed when I found out he did the bretons and the orcs in Morrowind. They sound very different from each other.

I hope they utilize other unique and talented actors. It'd be nice to have something fresh and new in Skyrim. Then again, I'm going by Beth's past of using the same 4 or 5 voice actors. If there's enough variety (like they've now claimed), then I wouldn't mind. Maybe get that "Chicken Chaser" voice actress from the first Fable.
