Ask Todd Howard About Skyrim

How do you know that ? Podcasts as a rule usually do ?

Because Game Informer's podcasts always come out on Thursdays.

GAH! Wish I would've known that before I made a well articulated question that was a decent length....such wasted time thinking up the perfect question for nothing. Took me like 30 min to just come up with the question I wanted to ask and I'll probably forget it by tomorrow lol.

Wait for it : note that we weren't prevented to post, it's just that our posts don't show. Note also that our profile keeps track with our number of comments : would it do that if our comments weren't somehow counted ?

Just saying, it might just be that our posts will appear magically in their due place after the 24 hours delay. I sure as hell hope so, cause I won't remember either my own walls of text. :P

*edit*

Ah, great ! I'll add it in the op.

Incidentally, maybe it's the fever and the lack of sleep (6 AM here), but I just saw the pun in your name, for the first time ever.

The podcast comes out on Thursday.

Ah, I didn't realize. That's good news then. Hopefully Game Informer wont care about my questions being posted twice, and once by someone else.

That gives Game Informer plenty of time to hand pick questions about things they haven't covered.

My comments on GI don't seem to be coming up.. maybe I didn't fully register? I'm logged in.

I was wanting to ask if the UI could be adjusted by scale or the PC would fit more info onto a screen.

And also if they would natively support the Xbox 360 controller for Windows so that it's buttons come up under controls and the force feedback etc. I played a game called Trine that did this, and so did Gears of War for Windows.

24 hours wait after registration until you can properly post. You still got a shot at having your post showing up then, but maybe you'll have to re-post, we don't know yet.

Anyone asking about travel systems? I know fast travel has been asked about, but I'd love to know if there's a real established travelling system. I really hope Bethesda doesn't drop the ball on this considering how long people have been talking about this. Otherwise, clarifications about fast travel would be good too, one more similar to the Dagger system would be a lot better than what found in Oblivion.

There were several questions already asked about a Morrowind traveling system

Hey, you wouldn't be the only one : I saw quite a few double posts, prolly stemming from the same reason. They should have foreseen it and placed a small notice, me thinks.

I will ask for you, as this question puzzles me as well. :)

A few more questions, if anyone's willing to toss them up:

1. How will staves work?

2. Will there be ways to acquire spells besides spell merchants? Maybe something similar to Oblivion's spell tome DLC?

3. Regarding hotkeys and the favorites list from the UI article, how will that work with the dual wielding combat system? Will you be able to combine a pair of weapons or spells into a single option to swap in all at once, or something like that?

Done. I also threw in a question about body customization. I'm rather curious about that.

Attributes, yes : whether they are here or not, and how the races will be different if they're absent.

Birthsigns, not sure.
