Adjustable Level Cap?

Post » Thu Mar 03, 2011 10:33 pm

*Apologies if this has already been talked about*

So I was thinking about the good parts of Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout to try to find what parts of the games made them great and what parts annoyed me and then I remembered that level cap system from Fallout.
Now a level cap has its pros and cons.
Pro
Makes the game more challenging
Con
If I sink 500 hrs into a game, I want to be godly.

So surely and adjustable level cap system would suit everyones need and play style? Would anyone have a problem if it was a simple slider that you could adjust similar to that of the difficulty?

Does anyone else have thoughts or feelings on this topic?

I know it may be a bit cheap to mention it but... you already will be a bit godly with the dragon shouts and all that, really you will beat up dragons, how sweet is that ? And if you need even MORE power... there is a certain console command for that :P

Seeing as there is only a 'soft' cap, and you can reach higher levels with time and effort, the only cap being 50 perks, it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I don't know if I understand why you want a level slider, but.... In Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3,... There is a level slider that we can change at any time!

That is a difficulty slider, I am talking about one that sets your level cap.

A mod will take care of this, too minor of an issue for Beth to care, if Beth try to included every little request it would take a long time for SR to come out.

You can level up all your skills to 100 in Skyrim.
You can only choose 50 of the 280 (?) perks though.
