will dead bodies float in the water

Obviously. I see no reason why anyone would vote "no", besides trolling.

i say that it depends on the weight you are carrying with you along with your default body weight. anything say, less then 500 you float, more you sink. default is 300.

One of my ideas was to fill a rat or wolf with weapons and armor and let it float down to a city :)

Demented from your point of view. What makes your perspective on demented a valid one?

I think he was just joking around, no need to get riled up. He wasn't trying to say this thread needed to be taken down or anything crazy like that.

thank you. i WAS joking around

I think this would be a good idea to add a touch of realism. I voted yes! :)

Since some people can't take a joke I will add that yes! I agree with this. I don't know of any game besides halo that I have played that has had this effect before. It would add to the realism.

Not to abandon the point of the post, but I find it a little weird that the subject is addressed as a question, yet the poll content is a suggestion. Will bodies move? No one has any idea. Would I like them to? Sure, with moderation and such. I'd like physics to work in a lot of ways, but we don't really know whether they will or not. So, I'm going to refrain from voting, as I don't wish to lie in a post that's phrased as a question I don't know the answer to. Instead of asking "Will bodies float", I recommend "Do you want them to float" or just the short "Floating bodies". Also include a "Do not care option", as there are some things I could really care less about.

This goes out to all the other threads like this one. This isn't the only one, nor the first, but I'm tired enough to rant in this special case. Don't take this negatively or something, as I'm just trying to be constructive. Maybe I should just stop being picky when it comes to thread content. Or maybe I'm just getting tired of suggestion threads because I want some more news to pick apart. Maybe I shouldn't hijack this thread for the sake of my own inner reflection. I'll just stop doing this.

Yes, I'd like physics to be as realistic as possible. Bodies floating when they should, bodies sinking when they should. Will Bethesda do this? I'd like them to, but I don't know and I probably won't lose any sleep if they don't.

Pretty sure no one knows. Since the trailer is the only gameplay we've seen and there's no bodies in the water...

Indeed, we've seen nothing to indicate what bodies will do in water, I'd imagine they'll float, which they did in Oblivion too, but will they be affected by the current? That depends on whether there's any current to affect them or not, we know the game has flowing water, but whether this actually puts any current on objects or is just an animation that doesn't affect physics, we have no way to know. I think it depends on that, because it would be pretty strange if bodies were subject to current but nothing else was, and kind of pointless probably as if the game can make a body wash away in the current, I don't see why it shouldn't be able to do it for say, an apple, unless the apple has no physics at all.

Yes! Adds realism, really. But I don't see why they wouldn't have already implemented that.

I KNOW in Morrowind the carcasses just sink and stay put, I don't remember what happened in Oblivion, but i think it was still unrealistic.

This is a small desire of mine, but what do you guys think? is it gonna be like this in Skyrim?

EDIT: okay i learned oblivion had floating bodies, but they didn't move with currents as there weren't very many currents to move with.
So what i really care about is whether they move with the currents.

It was in Oblivion so if it's not in Skyrim i would be amazed.
