Hold weapons left handed please?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 12:20 am

I think Skyrim should have the option of hold your weapon left handed if you play left handed controls. Does anyone else think it would be a cool idea? I am sure other lefties would think it's cool but righties probably think it's stupid.

You can put anything you want in any hand. If you want to equip a sword in your left hand and a shield in your right, more power to you.

Already confirmed. Use the search feature, there have been dozens of topics just like this already, and the dual wielding feature confirmed that it's possible to be left-handed.

As has been said before here, there is the option to have a sword in your left hand if you want, it would just take some getting used to having the primary attack button as the left trigger instead of the right.

But I cant wait to finally play a lefty like me.

Hmm. You know, I might have to play "lefty" just to keep from being confused..... since, right now, Oblivion is right click to block (with the shield in your left hand), left click to attack (sword in right hand). So to keep the block & attack matching, if the mouse buttons are matched to your hands, I'll need the weapon left / shield right. :)

Me too, either that or I already thought I might swap the mouse buttons - LMB for blocking and RMB for slashing is just too big a change at my age, I'd spend a good deal of time dying and swearing at the screen before getting the hang of it - and similar when I went back to play MW or OB!

At least Morrowind gave you the option of left-handed archery.....except it wasn't "optional".

I'll most certainly be looking forward to having different chars using different weapon hands.

In Demon Soul's you can assign any weapon or shield to any hand BUT you can't block with a shield in your right hand. Can anyone provide proof that it won't be like that in Skyrim?
