Yes, but what abut PS4? Surely if they make it compatible for the PS4 they would make it compatible for the new Xbox. "Rumoured"

I am only asking this because I am a big Xbox fan and I am waiting for news if there is a new Xbox console, which I hope. People say it will be around 2012 - 2015. Would there be another TES near that time? Won't be surprised if this topic gets locked. But please give me your opinions or if you have any news?

Isn't the console has to be made backward compatable, not the game...forward compatable I guess? I don't think it's up to Bethesda.

If Sony makes the PS4 backwards compatible with PS3 games, then it will work. If not, I doubt Bethesda will plan for a console that just recently began development and won't be out for several years.

Well I detest X-box, ever since the RROD epidemic and their ridiculously high customer service fees as well as poor customer service. I will remain loyal to Playstation as they have had the best games ever on their systems. I'm hoping whatever next gen console they come out with will use less electricity compared to the PS3. Also I'm wondering how else they'll improve, also it has to be backwards compatible to the PS3 and have someway to transfer saves from the PS3.
