Will the bad guys run away from you in fear?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 7:19 pm

Would people like bandits or people from the enemy faction just charge at you the second they see you, knowing full well youre wearing the best armour in the game and holding the most powerful sword ever, and that youre well known throughout the world as that guy who killed that dragon?

Id like people to think twice before randomly attacking you whether or not they have orders to :/ Id like them to not attack me if above is the case.

Yea I think every once in a while too if you start kicking their *** they should try and run from you

I imagine joy of pulling out your bow or fire ball spell and popping them in the back as they run.

Obviously this should only happen a very small percentage of the time cause it could get annoying having to chase people down.

A little variation doesn't hurt. everything should be different and not the same preset reaction all the time

If they start running away more often then not, it would become quiet annoying.

I'd imagine it would be easy enough to make (for example) a character 10+ levels lower than you to run away in fear. You could always also use spells to make enemy characters flee.

Shouldn't they just run knowing you're the dragonborn?

They will probably start running when they see you riding a dragon in dragon armour, whilst clutching a spear :whistling: Then they will know you are Dragonborn

From what i've read that has already changed, at least to some extent. Enemies appear to have a more tactical approach rather than just bull charging on you. But i do agree. Those with an IQ of an apple or above should flee at the realization they don't stand a chance.

Enemies run away sometimes in Fallout when they realize you are beating the crap out of them. I wouldn't be surprised to see this in Skyrim as well.

If the bandits were in a group, I don't see why they'd run away even if they knew you were strong. Maybe they'd be less likely to attack if you're keeping your distance from their camp.

They do in my Oblivion...but it's modded. :hehe: Hopefully in Skyrim they do so it's not another PC only feature.

Considering this did happen in Fallout 3, and New Vegas, I do see this happening in Skyrim.
