Tampa needs more love...

Okay, it's no Carb-9, but I still love the hell out of the Tampa. Grip, Muzzle Break, and extended mags (I don't use any sights), and it seems to devastate! Also it looks damn sixy, like a roided-up MP7A1.

Anyone else love this beastly gun?

Because if someone uses this weapon, it's most likely a secondary. And as secondary I need a panic weapon with the possibility to get out as many bullets as possible without reloading. Logical choices would be Galactic or Cross with Drums, or the CARB if it isn't the main weapon already. But what ever.

I have a light that carries it as his main and a medium that carries it as his secondary, but it isn't as good on certain maps due to longer ranges.

A tampa with the speed sling and taped magazines has the fastest weapons swap speed and reload speed amongst the SMGs and probably all pistols as well.

Just tonight fell in love with it. Throw a 4-vent MB, YeoTek RDS and High-cap mags on it and you're set.

Though if you're using the Tampa like an SMG, you're doing it wrong. It's basically a machine pistol for mediums/heavies.

Yeah, I played around with some SMG's too and found the Tampa to be better than expected because you can buff the reload tremendously. I tend to run out of bullets so the reload really helps.
I still prefer the Carb-9 but being a light operative, I spend a lot of time running, gunning and turning corners and the carb with a drum help a lot, spray a lot, hurt a lot, don't care about accuracy. If I had better aim, I guess some of the other SMG's would be better, but the Tampa clearly wins on all-out reload speed.
The time you spend in-game, not being able to shoot counts for something.

I guess the carb and kross just fit the most preferred playstyles out there.

On my light Engineer/OP I prefer the Bulpdaun, if I run out of ammo in a sticky situation, switch to my Tokmak with a speed holster and rapid fire. I can unload about half the clip, (9 bullets), probably more in a second. I like the Bulpdaun because it is stable and accurate, even at long ranges. It's especially good if you don't spray. Plus I can boost the damage as I'm normally an engineer.

I prefer the Bulpdaun for it's all-rounded-ness, but on defense if I need a bit of spray and pray love the Tampa is all about the grip and drum magazine. It's accuracy is really poor compared to the other SMGs but it has decent damage so as long as you keep shooting someone's bound to drop. It was also pretty good silenced when I used that but ended up preferring the Galactic as my go to silenced weapon.
